Ah, "other" ... the great category that is forever overused. For me, this is the things that I pick up now and again, and then set down for a loooong time. Cross stitch, spinning, weaving, drawing, dyeing, sashiko, diamond painting, etc.
This isn't a full WIP accounting, that'll come later. But there are a few things I have deadlines for, and stuff I would like to get done.
- Dyeing: The scarf dyeing that I did for friends and family for Xmas still has a couple to be finished, namely mine (needs black dye) and Marty's. I need to have Amazon re-send that order, grumble grumble.
- Cross stitch: I want to get the "ketubah" done for me and Iris. I'm thinking I can bring this to Thailand and hopefully wrap it up there. It'll take a lot of time and attention, but very little space. I can also bring it on our honeymoon.
- Sashiko: I haven't yet started the momiji pattern I bought, and I would love to do that over the summer and then make the plaid haori for autumn. Depending on where other things stand, maybe this can be a project for early summer or bringing to Thailand.
- Spinning: I got a lot of Herdwick spun up in the 2022 Tour de Fleece, and I'd like to get that finished and off the wheel before the 2023 Tour.
- Weaving: I've got an obijime started on my new inkle loom and I'd like to get that done, and then weave my dad a guitar strap for his birthday or Xmas (depending on how fast I get it done)
- Drawing: now THIS is where my commitments are! Generally my finished works will be posted on my tumblr (ladymac111-draws.tumblr.com) but I'm doing two events this spring (at least 3 works) and need to have it in front of me.
- OFMD Reverse Bang:
- Feb 25th: submissions due, 50% complete (aiming for cleaned lineart and maybe flats on both pieces)
- June 3rd: posting begins

- Feb 16-19: claims
- Feb 26: teams announced
- June 13: works due
